Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes

CMUNC 2026’s Philanthropy Partner

Our CMUNC 2026 philanthropic partner is the Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes! We are so excited to partner with this organization to support their impactful work. To make it even better, all delegates will be able to support this cause through Jar Wars, our fundraising activity.

The Cancer Resource Center was founded in 1994 by a group of nine women under the name of the Ithaca Breast Cancer Alliance. In 2007, the nonprofit expanded its focus to all forms of cancer and became the organization it is today. The Center works to ensure that nobody faces cancer alone, providing a wide range of services, from one-on-one personal support to volunteer care in chemotherapy wards at the Cayuga Medical and Cayuga Cancer Centers. The Cancer Resource Center operates largely off of community donations and volunteering, allowing it to continue support patients across the Finger Lakes region.

We here at CMUNC believe that it is especially important to serve our local community as we organize a conference that centers issues on the national and global stage. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support the Cancer Resource Center and its mission to ensure healthcare is a human right, not a privilege.
