A Letter from the Secretary-General

Dear Prospective Delegates and Advisors,

My name is Joanna Hua and I am so excited to serve as your Secretary-General for the Cornell Model United Nations Conference of 2020! CMUNC has continuously made efforts to be a space of inclusivity and learning for high schoolers around the globe, and we will continue to do so for this year’s conference. In order to provide a fulfilling experience for all those who attend, we promote transferable professional and academic skills as well as higher education impact.

Please join us at Cornell University’s beautiful campus in Ithaca, New York from April 23-26, 2020. Our Secretariat and dedicated staff have been eagerly working to ensure a wonderful and smooth conference experience for everyone, and we hope to provide you an enriching experience here.

To new delegates and advisors: welcome! In keeping with our priority of higher education outreach, we strive to create an inclusive and learning environment and welcome people of all levels of experience. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns that may arise as you prepare to attend our conference.

To returning delegates and advisors: welcome back! Thank you for continued support and feedback, as we are continuously improving our conference. We are excited to see you back on Cornell’s campus again, and hope you have a wonderful time at CMUNC 2020!

CMUNC will give you the opportunity to challenge yourselves intellectually, cooperate with your peers, and better understand some of the world’s most pressing concerns. It is our wish that this conference will encourage your interest in international affairs and provide you with academic, social, and professional skills which you will bring home with you and use with confidence for years to come. Thank you for your interest in CMUNC, and I cannot wait to welcome you all to Ithaca and Cornell in April!
