Can I attend as an individual delegate?
Yes, we accept individual delegations. These are single students that wish to participate without affiliation to a school. Individual delegations must be accompanied by an adult advisor over the age of 25 at the conference. The advisor is also responsible for registration and all subsequent communication with the Secretary-General before the conference. Are position papers mandatory?
Position papers are mandatory and due to your committee chair by the first session of committee on Thursday of the conference. You may email it in advance or hand in a paper copy. Please write at least 2 pages double spaced per topic. Position papers that are emailed to your chair at least two weeks before the conference will be guaranteed feedback.
Are laptops, tablets, and phones allowed in committee?
Laptops and electronics such as phones and tablets may not be used in committee. Please also do not use them for resolution-writing outside of committee session. All resolution-writing must be done on paper by hand; you will not be allowed to access digital documents during committee.
What is the dress code for CMUNC?
CMUNC’s dress code is Western Business Attire for opening/closing ceremonies and all committee sessions. Dress code for the Delegate Dance is casual.
Can I bring a delegation of students from different schools?
Any delegation may participate if one or more advisors are available to attend. However, delegations of students from more than one school are not eligible for Delegation Awards.

Can I get my deposit back?
The last day to get your deposit back is December 31, 2018. The last day to reduce your delegation size or cancel your registration is February 1st. After February 1st, CMUNC will not be liable for any refunds.
Do you take payments via bank account?
No, unfortunately, we only take payment via mail (check) or online payment (PayPal). Please do not ask for our bank account number.
How do I change the number of delegates registered?
Please send any delegation size changes to the SG. A new invoice will be sent to you to reflect these changes and your current payment status.
How do I know if my payment has been received?
Periodically, the Director of Finance will send out emails confirming deposits or full payments received. Between mid-December and mid-January, the staff of CMUNC is not on campus and cannot receive payments until the spring semester starts. If you are ever unsure about the status of your payment, send an inquiry to the SG email. Your account on cmunc.net will be changed to reflect your payment status as well.
Why can’t I pay via PayPal?
If you are unable to pay via PayPal, you likely chose the Offline Payment option upon registration. Simply send an email to the SG and you will receive a PayPal invoice (separate from your registration invoice) which will allow online payment. You may choose to pay in part (deposit only) or in full.
How do I get off the waitlist?
If there is a last minute drop and you are first on the waitlist, the SG will send you an email to let you know that you are no longer on the waitlist.
When and how do we choose committees and positions?
A committee/position preference form will be sent out in February after Regular Registration ends. Positions will be assigned and sent back to advisors in March.
Can you provide transportation to [insert name] hotel?
Unfortunately, we are only able to provide transportation for the conference hotels listed. If you are using conference transportation, you must stay at one of these hotels, because the conference is not walking distance from any of the hotels. Exceptions will not be made, as this rule allows us to make transportation as efficient as possible.
My school is from another country. Can I attend?
We welcome international schools to attend CMUNC. However, coordinating transportation to and from Ithaca, NY is the responsibility of the advisor, and additional costs will not be covered by CMUNC. Advisors must also plan to get visas for travel to the U.S. if necessary.
