Ankur Bajaj President of CIAS Ankur Bajaj is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences at Cornell University, pursuing a double major in Chemistry and Economics, and perhaps a triple in Biology, if it doesn’t kill him. Though he is premed, he has a serious passion for debate, and recognizes that Model UN prepares its participants for a wide variety of careers by honing their skills of negotiation and leadership, indispensable in today’s world. Armed with 7 years of Model UN experience, and currently the President of the Cornell International Affairs Society (the organization that hosts CMUNC), Ankur hopes to bring creativity and perspective to CMUNC X, and secretly hopes that the cast of Jersey Shore is kidnapped in committee sometime during the weekend. When not busy with his fraternity or in various meetings, Ankur enjoys reading nonfiction, watching TED Talks, and working on his golf swing, which his instructor keeps reassuring him is on the verge of improving. An international man of mystery, as he likes to think, he hopes to integrate travel and politics into the rest of his career at Cornell and into his profession, and dares anyone to try and stop him. |
